Residing in the mountains of Northern Vietnam, the Tay tribe are an ethnic minority with their own customs separate from the majority of Vietnamese. Their textiles are most commonly recognized by their diamond shaped patterns; their signature handwoven blanket is used for warmth during the rainy winter.
With a stunning central woven panel of natural black and white cotton, the lightweight blankets often consist of two bands, each roughly 13" wide. This blanket measures 52" x 40" and makes a stunning statement as a wall hanging, table covering, or draped over a bed or sofa.
